2018 Mercedes S500: Speaker Audio Upgrade

2018 S500 in for an Audio upgrade, the customer was very underwhelmed by the factory upgrade, lacking depth of sound and clarity and higher volume.

We decided to go for the direct fit Rainbow Intelligence Line Series, there are 3 options, C, E, and S, at first you would think these are the cars they fit but it actually relates to the performance of the speaker and the quality of it. Being as this car had the Burmester factory upgrade we opted for S series in the front with the some upgrade 8″ “subs”, E series in the rear doors (components front and rear) and some custom modified Rainbow coaxials we fitted in the rear shelf. If you had got in the car before the upgrade and then got in the car after you would think you had got into a base spec car then an upgrade car, the difference is amazing, much clearer sound, more depth and fuller. There is no cutting of wires needed so the car can be returned to standard.

The customer was over the moon but as we know with factory amps they are always as limiting as the factory speakers so we will be adding an Audison Amp next, stay tuned….
